Chaos at Chester Waffle House Leaves Two Stabbed, One Critical

CHESTER, SC – A late night stop for waffles turned into chaos when two customers were stabbed inside the Waffle House on JA Cochran Bypass last night. The shocking incident left one victim fighting for their life.

Just after 10:30 PM on Friday, February 2nd, deputies from the Chester County Sheriff’s Department were called to the 24-hour diner. They arrived to find two victims suffering from stab wounds.

One of the victims was transported to an Atrium hospital in critical condition. According to officials, this person sustained life-threatening injuries during the attack. The other victim had non-life threatening wounds.

Authorities quickly identified and arrested a suspect – a 17-year-old boy whose name has not been released due to his age. He was taken into custody at the scene.

Investigators have not yet released a possible motive for the violent stabbing. It’s unclear if the victims and suspect knew each other prior to the incident.

The shockingly brutal attack took place while customers were eating inside the popular restaurant. Images from the scene show the Waffle House taped off with crime scene investigation vehicles parked outside.

Stabbings in restaurants are rare in Chester, a small town with less than 6,000 residents. The community is left stunned after this disturbingly violent crime.

The victims have not been publicly identified as of early Saturday morning. The condition of the critically injured victim is unknown at this time.

Chester County Sheriff’s deputies are continuing to investigate the stabbing. They are asking any potential witnesses to come forward.
